Introducing Kayla and Brighter Pathways NQ

Hello! I’m Kayla, the founder of Brighter Pathways NQ, and my passion for working with children has been at the heart of my journey from the start. Beginning in child care, I discovered my love for supporting young minds, which led me to pursue a career in speech pathology.

After graduating from James Cook University in 2014, I gained valuable experience in the Education Queensland system before spending ten years in private practice, where I saw the transformative power of individualised therapy. Wanting to create a space that prioritises flexibility and professional growth, I founded Brighter Pathways NQ to better support families in their speech therapy journey.

As a mum of two, my personal experiences shape my approach, allowing me to connect deeply with families and empower both children and parents. I’m excited to help children find their voice and reach their full potential.

If you’d like to learn more or need support, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help!

Values

Brighter Pathways NQ is a practice focused on doing things differently. I wanted to create a space that valued neuro affirming practices, where every child’s unique needs were met with understanding and respect. A place where collaboration, both with families and other professionals, was at the forefront of our work, and where empowerment of both children and their families was key. At Brighter Pathways, we believe in the importance of honesty, integrity, and empathy, ensuring that each family feels supported and understood, which is why all of these areas form our company values.

At Brighter Pathways NQ, we are committed to working with families who share our values . We believe that the best outcomes happen when therapists and families work together with a shared vision, embracing neurodiversity, individuality, and the strengths of each individual child.
